Custom Stock Photography for Share Our Spare

Why Custom Stock Photography?

Custom stock photography is an invaluable resource for businesses and non-profit organizations. It is an image library that is entirely branded for a company that they can readily utilize. Having images ready-to-go makes for readily available content for social media that also aligns with websites. In the case of a non-profit organization, it is so helpful when applying for grants.

Photos and films can tell a story in a way that connects with viewers in a way that words sometimes cannot.

Share Our Spare

I had the honor to capture Share Our Spare volunteers at work during a diaper distribution and sorting event. For those of you who don’t know, Share Our Spare is an invaluable organization that connects families-in-need who have children ages 0-5 with basic supplies. These include diapers, clothing, toys, strollers, breastmilk pumps, and so much more. People can donate new and gently used items. Then social workers will come to the warehouse…err, sharehouse…to “shop” for their clientele. I love that the items go directly to families in need. Whatever Share Our Spare cannot use is then donated to the Salvation Army.

Making Bundles of Clothing

I was so happy to be able to create this image library for Share Our Spare. Volunteers gathered for this sorting event to create clothing bundles. Donated clothing is first sorted by size, gender, and season. Then, volunteers put the clothing into packages containing season-specific sets of bottoms, tops, socks, and underwear. This makes it easy for agencies to come and select the needed items for their clients in a more efficient manner.

Go check them out if you have/had small children and are ready to purge around your home! They are accepting donations once again now that Chicago is beginning to open again amidst Coronavirus.

PSST! I give service discounts to 403(b) organizations working to make Chicago and/or the world a little better place.
