Phone-tography:

The camera
in your pocket

Use your camera to its full potential.

I’ve been an art teacher since 2003 and that look of AHA on a person’s face gets me every time. It’s a huge reason I started teaching Phone-tography.

Phone-tography is for anyone who wants to take their photography to the next level and a workshop is the perfect team-building experience.

You don’t need a fancy new phone. I have an iPhone 12 and it’s still going strong.

We all start from somewhere.

We just have to start

If you’re here right now, you know that creating eye-catching photos is more than pushing a red button.
It is about understanding:
  • The functions built into your camera app.
  • How to properly utilize the different lenses to alter the composition and mood within a photo or video.
  • Light and how to find (or create) the best light, even at night or in windowless rooms.
  • Rules artists and photographers use to compose a scroll-stopping image.
  • What do with photos after they are taken: organizing, editing, and sharing.

Even though I love my big cameras,

it’s hard to beat the convenience and portability of a phone.

All of the photos on this page are taken only on my Phone. Every single workshop makes use of the tools you already own with no need to purchase special equipment or download special apps. Your phone is a powerful tool and it’s right at your fingertips.
